Former Director of Electricity and Renewable Energy Department Phuong Hoang Kim was arrested to investigate the crime of Abusing position and power while performing official duties.
On the evening of May 23, the Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency issued a decision to prosecute, order temporary detention, and search the residence and workplace of Mr. Phuong Hoang Kim, 51 years old, former Director of the Department of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Industry and Trade, to investigate the crime of abusing position and power while performing official duties, according to Article 356 of the Penal Code.
The prosecution decisions have been approved by the Supreme People's Procuracy. Mr. Kim's specific violations have not been announced.
