On December 10, the 2023 National Table Tennis Tournament for Excellent Rackets, organized by the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang, closed and awarded prizes to the athletes.
The 2023 National Table Tennis Tournament for Outstanding Racquet Players opened on December 6 in Cao Bang, attracting 42 male and female athletes to compete in men's and women's singles. After 5 days of exciting competition, the athletes gave table tennis lovers exciting and dramatic matches with skillful techniques and tactics.
Tournament results: In the men's singles event, athlete Nguyen Anh Tu (Hanoi) won the gold medal; Dinh Hoang Anh (Hanoi T&T Club) won the silver medal; Le Tien Dat (Hanoi T&T Club) and Doan Ba Tuan Anh (Hai Duong) won the bronze medal.
In the women's singles event, athlete Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh (Ho Chi Minh City) won the gold medal; Nguyen Thi Nga (Hanoi) won the silver medal; Mai Hoang My Trang (Ho Chi Minh City) and Nguyen Hanh Ngan (Hanoi) won the bronze medal.
The tournament aims to evaluate the training and education of excellent athletes of provinces and cities; thereby, selecting excellent athletes to prepare for regional and continental tournaments. This is also an opportunity to promote and introduce the land, people, cultural heritage, and tourism development potential of Cao Bang province to friends across the country.
