Before and during the Lunar New Year, most people go through endless parties and feasts. Eating meat dishes every day makes everyone sick. Understanding this, many fish noodle shops have prepared ingredients in advance to be able to start business from the first day of the Lunar New Year.
The shops are open from morning until around 6-7 pm. The shop owners cannot give specific statistics but estimate that each shop sells at least 500 bowls or more a day. In addition to customers in Hai Duong City, there are also visitors from some neighboring districts or provinces who come to celebrate Tet.
Each bowl of vermicelli, rice noodles with fried fish and stewed ribs costs an average of 50,000 VND/bowl, an increase of 20,000 VND/bowl compared to normal days.
Fish noodle soup is one of the specialties in Hai Duong city. This rustic dish attracts many diners from near and far because of its rich, sweet broth, fragrant fried fish pieces, and a combination of available spices and green vegetables.
