After 5 days of implementation, Hai Duong people have found it easier to install biometrics on electronic banking applications.
At some major banks in the province, the number of people asking bank staff for support in setting up biometric information on electronic applications has decreased. Errors arising during operations, especially system connection errors of banking applications, have also decreased significantly compared to the first day of implementation (July 1).
During the support process, bank staff also warned people about some situations where criminals impersonate bank employees to commit fraud.
As for Vietcombank's VCB Digibank application, in addition to the usual biometric installation method (via chip-embedded citizen identification card), people can install it by linking data with the VNeID application. With this method, people log in to the VCB Digibank application, select "Utilities", then select "Update biometrics" and select "Electronic identification account (VNeID)" and follow the instructions on the screen. To do this, customers need a level 2 VNeID electronic identification account.
It is known that, as of July 5, Vietcombank is the first bank to deploy biometric installation using the "app-to-app" method (from application to application).
Previously, on July 1, due to the large number of system accesses, many people in Hai Duong had difficulty setting up biometrics on the e-banking application. Many people had to give up because the system kept having connection errors.
