Duy Tan residents join hands to build a civilized urban area

Many people in Duy Tan ward do not hesitate to donate land and demolish the surrounding wall to widen the road.

Now every neighborhood is decorated with lights, the roads are wide and straight, people are excited about the changes in their homeland.

In previous years, Cuc Tien Street in Nham Duong residential area was narrow, often muddy and slippery in the rainy season. Responding to the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" launched by the town, local people actively participated in urban beautification. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hung, a 40-year Party member in Nham Duong residential area, took the lead in donating land to expand Cuc Tien Street. His family donated 30 square meters of residential land, dismantled the auxiliary works, gates, and surrounding walls and rebuilt the entire structure without asking for support.

Mr. Nguyen Van Bat is also a typical example who donated land and dismantled a gate and wall with an area of ​​40 square meters to renovate Nha Tho street in Kim Bao residential area.

The good work was spread, 44 households in Kim Bao and Nham Duong residential areas voluntarily donated a total area of ​​over 660 m2 to renovate, upgrade and expand the road from 2.5 m to 7 m; voluntarily dismantled gates, surrounding walls, auxiliary works and many working days to rebuild the works and contributed 640 million VND. There were households, although not very well off, did not hesitate to donate land or part of their residential land. Many people from the homeland who work far away supported the local budget to build infrastructure.

Along with that, the locality has also implemented environmental sanitation and landscape care synchronously and drastically. Officials and members of organizations actively participate in environmental sanitation, care and protection of the self-managed flower street. The locality has actively promoted and disseminated construction order and traffic safety to the people; increased inspection, reminders and handling of violations according to regulations. The ward leaders have proactively completed the project and well implemented the ward planning, effectively exploited the potential strengths of the locality, and continued to attract businesses to invest in developing the trade service industry.

Up to now, Duy Tan is the only locality in the town that has zoned 207 hectares for producing yellow sticky rice; people have boldly applied scientific and technological advances to production, applied organic production processes, and invested in specialized processing. The ward is interested in building a chain linking production and consumption of agricultural products. Duy Tan Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative was established in 2021, coordinating well in providing services, linking production and consuming yellow sticky rice products. Thereby helping people feel secure in production, while also opening up new prospects for the specialized area for producing high-quality yellow sticky rice.

Comrade Dao Quang Thoi, Secretary of the Duy Tan Ward Party Committee, said that in 2022, the Ward Party Committee has chosen urban beautification investment as a breakthrough task. Right from the beginning of the year, the Ward Party Committee has held meetings to discuss and deploy work to cadres and party members, propagate and mobilize residential areas to actively participate in urban beautification and build a civilized lifestyle. Exemplary cadres and party members take the lead in donating land, contributing funds to open roads, and participating in mobilizing people to follow suit. The urban beautification has the consensus of the Party Committee, the government, and all classes of people, contributing to creating a spacious, clean and beautiful urban appearance, improving the quality of people's lives. In particular, it creates a good impression on tourists when visiting the special national relic site of An Phu - Kinh Chu - Nham Duong complex.
