This year's New Year falls in December (lunar calendar). It evokes many emotions for me because it is the time when heaven and earth meet. Excited to start a new year with new hopes but also can't help but feel sad and regretful that the lunar year is about to pass. Wrapping up the old year, opening the new year, and another Tet approaching, the pace of life seems to be more hurried.

On all the roads, everyone looked rushed and hurried. Containers lined up at the port to pick up goods and then dispersed everywhere. At the wholesale market, goods were also pouring in to meet the needs of the people. At the construction site, from machines to people, everything was working at full capacity to race to the finish line.

Many roads and bridges will soon be open to traffic, and construction works will soon be completed before the New Year. In the fields, farmers are also busy sowing spring crops, tending to flower beds and vegetable fields to harvest Tet. Everyone has their reasons for rushing, as if they are running the final marathon. Winning or losing is often only decided in this race.

This afternoon, there was a child waiting outside for his father to return home after a hard day of selling goods on the street. There was also a child missing his parents and only being able to talk to them through the phone screen. Somewhere in a foreign land, countless souls also turned to their fatherland on the days approaching the new year.

In each house, the cleaning still quietly takes place. The children are diligently studying to prepare for the upcoming exams. She concludes the year with flocks of chickens and ducks. This flock has been sold with a nest of eggs that are about to hatch, and a flock of chicks running around in the yard. Just like this vegetable bed that has just been harvested, she has quickly loosened the soil to sow the seeds. The soil has not yet had time to rest, season after season, crop after crop, still carefully nurturing the green plants, giving fragrant flowers and sweet fruits.

Dad, dressed as an electrician, is still on duty day and night to ensure a safe, continuous and stable power supply for the people. On the wall hangs a certificate of merit, the result of a long year of hard work by Dad.

The last calendar pages on the wall remind us that the end of the year is not only the time for people to complete work, but also the time to sit down and sort out our hearts. See how many worries should be let go, how much love should be held on to.

Open the wide door to let the warm sunlight dance in the house, let the fresh breeze cheer every corner. The yellow chrysanthemums, dahlias, and gladiolus in the front yard are brightly welcoming spring. Everywhere in the countryside, red flags with yellow stars flutter in the wind. On the village gate, the banner “Happy New Year” has just been hung by the members of the Youth Union and the youth amid cheers. We see the bright smiles of the youth, which is also the spring of the country…!
