Event planning profession revived

Many event organizing businesses invest in modern sound and lighting equipment to meet the increasing demands of customers.

After a long period of "sleeping" due to the Covid-19 epidemic, as soon as the epidemic was controlled, the event organization profession revived and developed more and more professionally.

Operating at full capacity

Large events are organized more by units and individuals. Businesses have caught up with the increasing needs of people and participated in organizing many large events. Up to now, businesses have been operating normally as before the epidemic,” said Mr. Tung.

From the beginning of the year to the end of July, on average, Sao Mai Music and Events Company Limited organized 30 large and small events each month inside and outside the province. Particularly in June and July, the number of large events organized by the province was quite large, so the company operated at full capacity.

Although quite busy with recently signed event plans and programs, Mr. Tran Van Dung, Director of Sac Viet Trading and Entertainment Services Joint Stock Company in Viet Hoa Ward (Hai Duong City) still took the time to participate in the first Hai Duong Province Event Football Tournament because this was an opportunity for him to connect with many businesses in the same industry. Mr. Dung said that after the pandemic, people's demand for organizing events increased sharply. Event organizing businesses have the opportunity to develop more strongly.

The province currently has about 50 businesses specializing in organizing events. These businesses often sign contracts with units and individuals to organize events such as inaugurations, openings, organizing cultural and sports events, full-package weddings, product introductions, etc. Although the scale is different, businesses are gradually overcoming post-pandemic difficulties to develop and meet the increasing needs of customers.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hinh, Director of a small and medium-sized enterprise in Hai Duong City, commented that compared to many years ago, event organizing enterprises now provide more services. He just hired a business to organize a customer appreciation conference and was quite satisfied. The business provides full services from sound, lighting, MC to tent systems, tables and chairs. They also have Flycam and modern cameras to make programs on demand. This professionalism is very necessary in the current context of competition and digital transformation. "If not professional, Hai Duong event organizing enterprises will find it difficult to compete with units in the same industry in other cities such as Hanoi and Hai Phong," said Mr. Hinh.

Investing nearly 700 million VND to buy sound, lighting equipment and other accessories to serve customers after the pandemic, Mr. Nguyen Phu Thu, Director of PTC Vina Media and Service Joint Stock Company (Hai Duong City) said that it is impossible not to innovate to increase competitiveness and meet the increasing needs of people. Currently, customers pay great attention to aesthetic factors, so businesses must regularly innovate the way they decorate and arrange conference and wedding spaces to be both luxurious and beautiful... Sound and lighting equipment must also be modern.

According to Mr. Tran Van Thuan, Director of Minh Nhat Company Limited in Binh Han Ward (Hai Duong City), event organizing businesses must survey and evaluate the needs and tastes of customers to invest in appropriate event organization equipment systems. LED lighting for decoration in conferences, gratitude parties or openings is popular with many people. Therefore, businesses are focusing on investing in these devices. Not only that, the professionalism of the event staff has also been significantly improved. Previously, event organizers mainly learned from each other, but now young people are trained through formal schools. The human resources for event organization services are also quite proficient in technology. This helps to organize events more effectively and professionally.

In order for the event organization industry in Hai Duong to develop further, it requires businesses of this type to continuously improve service quality, facilities, and have more new products and services, as well as promote connection and marketing channels to attract customers.
