On June 6, SJC gold price decreased by another 1 million VND, to only 75.98 million VND/tael.

According to the announcement of the State Bank of Vietnam, the direct selling price of SJC gold bars on June 6 to 4 banks and Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) was announced at 75.98 million VND/tael, down 1 million VND/tael compared to yesterday (June 5).

The State Bank continues to emphasize the message that it will continue to implement the roadmap to narrow and control the difference between the domestic selling price of SJC gold bars and the world price at an appropriate level.

Immediately after the State Bank announced the selling price of gold bars on June 6, banks also officially announced the selling price of SJC gold today at 76.98 million VND/tael, down 1 million VND/tael compared to yesterday and 1 million VND/tael higher than the selling price announced by the State Bank.

In the market, the mark of 76.98 million VND/tael is also being listed by most gold shops. In particular, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ), DOJI Group; Phu Quy Group, Bao Tin Minh Chau... all listed the selling price of SJC gold bars below this mark of 77 million VND/tael. The common buying price fluctuates around 75-76 million VND/tael.

However, according to the survey, most businesses reported that they had run out of SJC gold bars and were only making purchases, not sales, during this period.

Thus, the selling price of SJC gold bars continues to be listed by the State Bank at a decrease, causing those who rushed to buy in recent days to face losses.

Specifically, compared to the first day (June 3) when the State Bank sold gold to narrow the gap between domestic and foreign gold prices, the price of SJC gold on the market decreased by 3 million VND, from 79.98 million to 75.98 million VND/tael.

This development has caused those who rushed to buy SJC gold bars in the past 2 days to face many disadvantages. Meanwhile, those who bought over 90 million VND/tael are facing a loss of 12-13 million VND/tael if they sell at this time.
