Ms. Pham Kim Dung - President of Sen Vang Company - shared that Nam Em was once deceived by a bad guy who asked to buy a beauty pageant title.

Ms. Pham Kim Dung shared that contestants participating in beauty pageants must not compromise with any enticements.

On November 5, Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien spoke out to accuse Ms. Dang Thuy Trang of fraud and revealed that not only her, but many other young girls who wanted to compete in beauty pageants to change their lives also became victims. The incident has attracted public attention in the past few days.

After Thuy Tien shared her personal story, Ms. Pham Kim Dung - President of Sen Vang Company, the copyright holder of many beauty contests such as Miss World Vietnam, Miss Grand Vietnam - said that beauty Nam Em - Miss Mekong Delta 2015, top 10 Miss World Vietnam 2022 - also fell into a similar situation.

Ms. Dung recounted that in 2015, after being crowned Miss Mekong Delta, Nam Em texted her to discuss an important matter. At the meeting, Nam Em shared with Ms. Dung that someone contacted her and asked the beauty to pay money to buy the beauty queen's prize.

"At that time, I asked Nam Em to contact that person again and propose to meet the contest organizers. After that, I would go with this person to meet the Can Tho City police to clarify the matter. But when Nam Em called, that person did not dare to come," the Chairman of Sen Vang Company shared.

Ms. Dung then continued to question Nam Em about when the incident happened and how the subject approached her to scam her. Nam Em said that before the final round of Miss Mekong Delta, a strange woman contacted her by phone and said she could arrange the beauty pageant prize.

"At that time, in the contest, Nam Em was a very strong contestant and was considered to be the beauty queen. But she did not have confidence in herself so she agreed to those compromises. Luckily, after being crowned, Nam Em immediately reported the incident to the organizing committee for timely resolution," Ms. Dung continued.

According to Ms. Dung, after failing to contact Nam Em, the scammers turned to the beauty's mother and harassed her family. Only when the contest organizers took drastic action and wanted to report the incident to the local police did the scammers stop.

"I often tell young contestants participating in beauty contests to have faith in themselves and the organizers, and not to accept any offers or enticements. Thuy Tien's mistake was that at the age of 18 or 20, she compromised with arrangements without knowing who that person was. The price she had to pay was the consequences over the years," Ms. Dung added.

Zing contacted Nam Em about Ms. Dung's sharing, her media representative said she did not want to discuss this story further.

At the press conference on November 5, Thuy Tien said that she signed the loan papers because Ms. Dang Thuy Trang said she would help and support her to compete in the Miss Southern Vietnam 2017 contest. However, she later realized that she did not receive any support or investment.

"Litigation is a risky step in my career, but it is also a warning for young people to avoid similar stories," Thuy Tien cried and said that the Go Vap District People's Court has accepted this case and she believes in the court's verdict.
