Son Tung M-TP's MV is the most viewed in the world in the past 24 hours

According to Kworb statistics, as of 5 p.m. on June 9, the MV topped YouTube after less than a day of release with 5.3 million views. Previously, the video reached the top trending on YouTube Vietnam after two hours of release - the fastest ever, breaking Jack's record with the audio version of Dom Dom (2020).

The MV also entered the trending list of many countries such as Australia, Singapore, Korea, Japan, and Canada. "Don't Make My Heart Hurt" topped digital music systems in Vietnam such as iTunes and Spotify.

The song marks the return of Son Tung M-TP with the pop ballad genre, with a vibrant sound, similar to the hit series "Noi nay co anh", "Co chac yeu la day", "Muon roi ma sao con". The lyrics are the guy's feelings sent to the person he loves, hoping that life will always have her by his side. Compared to EDM/dance compositions such as "There's no one at all", "Making my way", the new song is arranged more simply, allowing the singer to comfortably express his voice with a singing style that emphasizes and soars.

In the MV, he plays an office worker starting a boring day at work. The character's life gradually changes when a girl appears that makes him fall in love. The guy imagines the happy days ahead: taking her to a restaurant, performing on stage, proposing to the girl of his dreams and getting married. At the end of the MV, he realizes that everything is just in his imagination and returns to real life. Son Tung M-TP's co-star is Pimtha, one of the most popular hot girls in Thailand with 4.7 million followers on Instagram.

The singer composed the song four years ago, keeping the genre a secret until its release date. Through the song, he sends the message: "Open your heart to music, we will receive sweet fruits from life."

Son Tung M-TP's real name is Nguyen Thanh Tung, born in 1994 in Thai Binh. He started singing with the song "Con mua ngang qua" in August 2011. In 2012, he was valedictorian of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, and was mentored by musician Huy Tuan. He made his mark with a series of hits "Lac troi", "Chung ta khong thuc ve nhau", "Hay trao cho anh". In 2015, the singer starred in the movie "Chang trai nam ay" (director Quang Huy), which was successful with a revenue of 60 billion VND.

He has won many awards such as: "Best Artist of Southeast Asia" (MTV Europe Music Awards 2015), "Single of the Year" (Green Wave 2015), "Singer of the Year" (Dedication 2016), "Most Favorite Singer" (Green Wave 2016), the first Vietnamese singer to receive the YouTube gold button.
