Forecast for the North to welcome a new cold air wave

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently on March 5, a cold air mass is moving south from the North.

It is forecasted that around the afternoon of March 6, this cold air mass will affect the mountainous areas of the North; from the evening and night of March 6, it will affect other places in the Northeast, then affect the Northwest and North Central regions. The wind will change to the Northeast at level 2-3 inland, level 3 in coastal areas.

From the night of March 6, the weather in the North and North Central regions will turn cold. During this cold air mass, the lowest temperature in the North will generally be from 15 - 18 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas from 12 - 15 degrees Celsius, in high mountainous areas below 10 degrees Celsius; in the North Central region, it will generally be from 16 - 19 degrees Celsius.

From the night of March 7 to March 15, the North will have rain, scattered light rain. Cold weather.

In the Central region, in the past 24 hours, the area from Nghe An to Thua Thien - Hue has been hot with temperatures at 13:00 commonly 35 - 37 degrees Celsius, some places above 37 degrees Celsius such as: Tay Hieu (Nghe An) 37.1 degrees Celsius, Huong Khe (Ha Tinh) 37.8 degrees Celsius, Tuyen Hoa (Quang Binh) 37.1 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity is 45 - 50%.

It is forecasted that on March 6, the area from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai will have hot weather with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35 - 37 degrees Celsius, the lowest relative humidity from 45 - 50%; from March 7, the hot weather will gradually ease.

From Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien - Hue from the night of March 7-8 and from March 11-13, there will be scattered rain. In the North, it will be cold at night and in the morning.

Due to the effects of heat combined with low humidity, there is a risk of explosions and fires in residential areas due to increased demand for electricity and the risk of forest fires. In addition, heat can also cause dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke in the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time.
