Microsoft Unveils Office 2024

According to Microsoft, the standalone version of Microsoft Office 2024 is aimed at users who do not want to subscribe to Microsoft 365.

Microsoft Office 2024 integrates many of the updates that Microsoft has rolled out to Microsoft 365 users in recent years. Since the last standalone release in 2021, Microsoft Office 2024 has brought many significant improvements in features and interface. Microsoft integrates the new Fluent Design design language, consistent with the interface of Windows 11. Microsoft also enhances accessibility, making it easier to search and manipulate documents, spreadsheets, and emails.

According to Microsoft, Office 2024 not only brings improvements in performance, but also provides a new interface with an improved menu bar. In particular, Excel users will see improved processing efficiency compared to the previous version, even when working with multiple spreadsheets at the same time.

Microsoft Excel 2024 adds 14 new text functions, which make it easier for users to manage data and text. Users can paste images directly or use the IMAGE function to add images without changing the format. In particular, Excel 2024 can now reference Dynamic Arrays in charts, automatically updating data instead of just displaying fixed data points. Processing speed and stability are also significantly improved.

With Microsoft PowerPoint 2024, users can insert live video from their webcam into a presentation slide with the Cameo feature. The new voice recording studio feature supports recording voiceovers, animations, transitions, and handwritten notes. Adding subtitles to video and audio is also easier, making presentations more professional and accessible to all audiences.

In addition, Microsoft Outlook 2024 also has notable improvements. The improved search engine provides more accurate results for emails, attachments, contacts, and calendars. This new version also brings many options for meetings, including the ability to automatically shorten the time. In addition, users of computers or smart devices running the Mac operating system can customize the left and right swipe gestures to navigate in Outlook, creating an easy and flexible user experience.

Microsoft OneNote 2024 also provides a better drawing experience for users with full-screen mode, allowing the use of the entire screen for writing and drawing, creating a comfortable and new feeling for users.

Microsoft Office 2024 will include two versions: Office Home 2024 priced at $149.99 includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote for a computer running Windows or Mac operating systems. And Microsoft Office Home & Business 2024 priced at $249.99 includes all the applications in Office Home 2024 plus Outlook comes with the right to use these applications for commercial purposes.
