Prior to the new AI system, Meta launched Llama 2, an open-source AI language model launched in July this year and distributed via Microsoft's Azure cloud service.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Meta Group is researching and developing an artificial intelligence (AI) system that is said to be more advanced and modern than OpenAI's famous chatbot ChatGPT.
The news site said that the parent company of social network Facebook is aiming to launch its new AI model next year, adding that it will be much more advanced than the commercial version called Llama 2 that was launched earlier.
Llama 2 is an open-source AI language model from Meta that was released in July this year. It is distributed via Microsoft's Azure cloud service and is intended to compete with ChatGPT and Google's Bard.
The new AI model is still in development and many details about it are subject to change.
However, Meta said the new AI model will focus on analytics and be capable of delivering more in-depth results.
There are a lot of businesses and corporations investing in the artificial intelligence market nowadays, since ChatGPT caused a fever.
According to Bloomberg News, tech giant Apple is also developing an AI service called Apple GPT to compete with ChatGPT.
