The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has just issued a document responding to the petition of voters in Hai Duong province regarding the adjustment of regional minimum wages.

How has the regional minimum wage changed in Hai Duong?
The Government has issued Decree 74/2024 regulating the minimum wage for employees working under labor contracts, replacing Decree 38/2022, effective from July 1, 2024. Many localities in Hai Duong have been adjusted.
Increasing regional minimum wage, are workers happy?
Although the minimum wage has increased, many workers and laborers in Hai Duong are still worried about "having fame but no money".
Details of regional minimum wage increase from July 1
The new regional minimum wage for contract workers, applied from July 1, 2024, will increase by an average of VND 200,000 - 280,000 compared to the current wage.
From July 1, regional minimum wage increases by 6%
From July 1, 2024, the Government will adjust the regional minimum wage to increase by an average of 6%, equivalent to an increase from VND 200,000 to VND 280,000. The hourly minimum wage will also increase by 6%.
Prime Minister proposes to increase regional minimum wage by 6% from July 1
Authorized by the Prime Minister, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra has just signed the Government's report to the National Assembly for consideration and comments on the contents of salary reform; adjustment of pensions, social insurance benefits, preferential benefits for people with meritorious services and social benefits from July 1, 2024.
