Fraudulent "job running" to get 300 million VND to invest in virtual currency

Previously, on July 13, Bac Kan City Police received a complaint from Ms. HTN in Bac Kan City accusing Nguyen Thi Bac of fraud and property appropriation of 300 million VND.

Specifically, in early 2019, Ms. HTN wanted to find a job for her daughter HTT, so she contacted Nguyen Thi Bac and was suggested by Bac to help "find a job" with the amount of 300 million VND.

Ms. N. agreed to give money to Bac. Then, Bac instructed Ms. T. to fill out an application for the preschool education officer exam and submit it to Pac Nam district, Bac Kan province.

In July 2019, Ms. T. took the civil servant and public employee recruitment exam in Pac Nam district but failed. Seeing this, Ms. N. went to Bac's house many times to demand the return of 300 million VND, but Bac found different reasons to avoid paying, and said that he had given the entire amount to an educator in Hanoi.

Based on the verification results, the Investigation Police Agency of Bac Kan City Police issued an Emergency Detention Order and decided to temporarily detain Nguyen Thi Bac for fraud and property appropriation.

Nguyen Thi Bac admitted to providing false information with the purpose of appropriating 300 million VND from Ms. N. After appropriating the entire amount, Bac used it to invest in virtual currency, play virtual stocks online and lost it all, currently unable to return it.
