Without the sound of school drums, the opening ceremony of the new school year for blind students in Hai Duong was held in a room but very warm.
On the afternoon of September 5, the Center for Rehabilitation, Education, Vocational Training and Employment for the Blind (Hai Duong Provincial Blind Association) held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2024-2025.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung emphasized that the Center for Rehabilitation, Education, Vocational Training and Employment for the Blind is a special educational unit with 100% of visually impaired students. Although the facilities for teaching and learning are still difficult, with the determination and efforts of the Provincial Association for the Blind, teachers and students, the center has achieved many positive results, contributing significantly to the education of children with disabilities.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments, branches and localities to create the best conditions for the center to perform its functions and tasks well, as well as advise the province to have appropriate preferential policies for the center's teachers. The Provincial Association for the Blind needs to proactively coordinate with the education sector, departments, branches, unions of the province and authorities at all levels to bring the socialization of education into depth, pay more attention to the lives of teachers working at the center and visually impaired students.
The opening ceremony of the Center for Rehabilitation, Education, Vocational Training and Employment for the Blind took place solemnly and briefly with main contents such as: saluting the flag, singing the National Anthem, reading the letter of the General Secretary and President and an art program with profound and clear songs performed by visually impaired students.
On this occasion, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education awarded 3 students with good achievements; the Center for Rehabilitation, Education, Vocational Training and Employment for the Blind presented gifts to 6 students with good academic achievements. A business donated 3 computers to the center.
This school year, the center has 60 visually impaired children studying culture, vocational training, extracurricular activities in pre-integration classes, integration classes, and literacy classes at the center and primary, secondary and high schools in Hai Duong city.
