To avoid falling into the "black credit" trap, people must know how to protect themselves, stay away from tricks, and not turn themselves into bait.
Seeing that Mr. Bac was absent from the poetry club's cultural activities, Mr. Nam went to visit his friend. Seeing that he was still healthy but with a sad expression on his face, Mr. Nam asked:
- Is there something worrying you? Why don't you seem to be as enthusiastic about participating in cultural and artistic activities as before?
Mr. Bac had the opportunity to confide:
- Honestly, my family is currently involved in a problem so I'm not in the mood for entertainment anymore.
Mr. Nam worried:
- Is anyone in the house sick?
Mr. Bac shook his head:
- No. It's embarrassing to say, but my youngest son got into "black credit". His business failed, he borrowed money from people through a phone app. At first, he borrowed a few dozen million, now the interest is on top of the interest, the debt has increased to more than a hundred million. Because we don't have money to pay, the lenders call my husband and I all day, and even call our relatives to "terrorize" us to collect the debt. At this age, my husband and I are so ashamed to have to face this, we don't dare show our faces anywhere anymore.
Mr. Nam exclaimed:
- Oh no, I've fallen into the "black credit" trap. To collect debt, they put pressure by calling, texting threats or using personal information, relatives' contacts, social media accounts of the borrower... to "terrorize", defame, insult honor, dignity, spread to relatives, friends, colleagues... The other day I read in the newspaper that in Hanoi there was a person who borrowed money through a phone app. Then because the interest was too high to pay, the creditor pretended to be a student's parent and called the school to pick up the second grader to kidnap and put pressure on him. Fortunately, the school and the head teacher were vigilant and promptly reported to the authorities, so the incident was prevented.
Mr. Bac said sadly:
- That's why my family is restless. Now it's "terrorist" phone calls, I don't know what else to do. Those lenders can do anything for money.
Mr. Nam sighed:
- "Black credit" is really scary. This is the type of crime that the police force has been focusing on fighting hard recently. But to avoid falling into the trap, people must know how to protect themselves, stay away from the tricks, and not become prey to "black credit"...
