On November 27, Lai Chau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that the unit is preparing to organize the first Lai Chau Provincial Open Mountain Climbing Tournament in 2023 - conquering Ta Lien Son peak.
As planned, the tournament will open at 5:45 a.m. on December 17 at Ta Leng Primary Boarding School, Ta Leng Commune, Tam Duong District, Lai Chau Province.
The tournament is divided into 3 age groups, including 16-30 years old, 31-40 years old and 41 years old and over.
The Ta Lien Son Mountain Climbing Competition is organized to continue promoting and improving the quality of the mass movement to exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho, promoting the movement of physical exercise in general and developing adventure sports, associated with mountain climbing tourism (trekking) in particular.
Through the organization of the tournament, the locality hopes to promote communication and introduce the potentials and advantages of natural landscapes and good traditional cultural values of ethnic groups in the province to domestic and international tourists.
At the same time, promote tourism, attract travel businesses and investors to survey, connect, cooperate, and invest in business with businesses and tourism service establishments in the area. Aim to build and develop the sport of mountain climbing (trekking) into a strong tourism product of Lai Chau province.
Ta Lien Son is a mountain located in Ta Leng commune, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province. This is the 6th highest mountain in the top of the highest mountains in Vietnam with an altitude of 2,996m.
