One more person has been prosecuted in the case of violating regulations causing great damage to Ha Long Cement Joint Stock Company and affecting the lives of hundreds of workers.
Continuing to expand the investigation of the case of "Illegal trading of value-added invoices, tax evasion, and violations of bidding regulations causing serious consequences occurring at Ha Long Cement Joint Stock Company and related units", on January 10, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Ninh Provincial Police announced that it had issued a decision to prosecute the accused, an arrest warrant to temporarily detain, and executed a search warrant at the residence and workplace of Hoang Anh Duc (born in 1981, residing in Gieng Day Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province) - former General Director of Ha Long Cement Joint Stock Company, currently Deputy Director of Vicem Cement Trading Company for the crime of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences" as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 222 of the Penal Code.
The orders and decisions on prosecution have been approved by the People's Procuracy of Quang Ninh province.
Previously, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Ninh Province Police prosecuted a total of 8 defendants involved in this case, including Vu Van Tang - Deputy General Director of Ha Long Cement Joint Stock Company; Nguyen Van Chuan - Head of the Materials Department; Nguyen Thi Thao - an officer of the Materials Department, prosecuted for the crime of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences".
The two defendants Ha Van Tien and Luong Duc Huy were prosecuted for illegally trading invoices and violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences; the defendants Pham Thi Tham, Nguyen Thi Lan, and Nguyen Thi Tuyen were prosecuted for illegally trading invoices and tax evasion.
The case is being continued to be handled by the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Ninh Provincial Police according to the provisions of law.
