Prosecution of the accused in the case of Thanh Binh Primary School student's death due to electric shock

According to the investigation results, the leaders of Thanh Binh Primary School signed a contract with Tam Anh Event and Media Company Limited, whose director is Dang Van Hai, to rent LED screen and sound systems to serve the Reading and Experience Festival program to celebrate "Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day April 21" taking place on April 18, 2023.

On April 17, 2023, Hai and another person went to Thanh Binh Primary School to install an LED screen system on the stage in front of Building A. The LED screen system was about 21 square meters wide and included electrical wires, signal transmission wires, and a metal frame system. On April 18, Hai was the person directly managing and operating the LED screen system for the program.

At 3:10 p.m. the same day, NST (born in 2013), a 4C student of the school, participated in a performance on stage. After the performance, T. left the stage and walked to the left (in the direction the audience was looking at the stage). About 10 minutes later, a teacher of the school discovered T. lying unconscious behind the LED screen system. T. was quickly taken to the emergency room. At 3:55 p.m. on May 7, 2023, T. died at the National Children's Hospital.

The results of the crime scene investigation, technical incident assessment of the LED screen system, and forensic autopsy determined that the cause of T.'s death was due to electric shock from an electrical leak in the electronic board.
