Opening of the Vietnam Technology - Innovation Connection Event 2023

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang and Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat attended and pressed the opening button. The event attracted about 1,000 delegates, including domestic and foreign businesses and experts.

In his opening speech, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat informed: The Vietnam Technology and Innovation Connection Event 2023 held in Quang Ninh province is one of the oriented activities of the Ministry of Science and Technology to promote the application, transfer of technology and innovation for businesses and organizations in the Northern region in particular and the whole country in general, improve the competitiveness of goods of businesses, create conditions for scientists to apply their results to production and business, bring practical efficiency to businesses, contribute to the socio-economic development of the country. At the same time, promote cooperation, economic, trade and investment linkages, especially technology exchange between Vietnamese businesses and foreign businesses, promote the role of businesses in innovation.

The event is organized to demonstrate and introduce new technology trends and new products; connect technology supply and demand according to local and economic region needs with domestic and foreign partners to serve application, innovation, technology transfer, support, enhance the ability and effectiveness of cooperation between enterprises, science and technology organizations, scientists, investors based on domestic and international technology, promote technology transfer promotion activities, quickly bring research results into production and life practices to serve socio-economic development.

In order for the event to be effective and meaningful, the Minister hopes that agencies and enterprises will strengthen closer coordination with the Department of Technology Application and Development and local Departments of Science and Technology to promote application activities, transfer of technical advances and innovation, contributing to improving productivity and product quality of enterprises, increasing competitiveness, and contributing to socio-economic development.

Within the framework of the Event, activities took place such as: Opening ceremony; Technology and energy forum; introduction of new technology trends - technology focus; Digital transformation forum, green transformation for sustainable development; Conference on technology application and transfer activities of localities across the country. The Department of Science and Technology in coordination with the Department of Technology Application and Development drafted detailed scenarios of the main activities of the event and worked with a number of relevant units in coordinating the organization...

The event also attracted nearly 200 booths of domestic and international units to participate in the demonstration of technology products. The products and technologies on display include: smart textile and footwear materials; microchips and electronic devices; green energy; logistics and supply chain; energy storage; technology for managing and reusing raw materials and waste.

This is considered an opportunity to connect achievements in the field of science, technology and innovation for investors, businesses and large corporations at home and abroad, and is also a favorable opportunity for Quang Ninh enterprises to make further progress.

Quang Ninh province is considered one of the leading localities in developing and applying science and technology, digital transformation in various fields. Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Ky believes that through the Vietnam Technology and Innovation Connection Event 2023, Quang Ninh will be supplemented with new thinking, new vision, new perspectives, new understanding of trends, new technology solutions, digital transformation, green transformation to promote development, transfer of science - technology and innovation, contributing to the rapid, effective and sustainable socio-economic development of Quang Ninh province associated with firmly ensuring national defense - security, improving the quality of people's lives. This is also a good opportunity for businesses, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to promote the connection between technology supply and demand; apply, transfer, master technology and innovate.

At the event, witnessed by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Minister of Science and Technology, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, the Organizing Committee presented the minutes of cooperation, technology transfer and innovation to 8 organizations and investors. In which, Co To district (Quang Ninh) and Rang Dong Joint Stock Company signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in developing green, smart, energy-saving and environmental protection lighting solutions, meeting the development orientation of "green growth, digital transformation, sustainable development" in Co To district in the period of 2023 - 2025.
