On April 30, British police announced that a 13-year-old boy died after a sword attack in West London that day. Police arrested a person carrying a sword.
Police said the incident was not terrorism-related and assessed there was no longer a security risk in the area following the arrest of the perpetrator. The 36-year-old attacked a group of people near Hainault train station. Police are not looking for any other suspects.
UK Home Secretary James Cleverly said he was continuing to receive further updates on the incident.
