More than 200 athletes compete in the Hai Duong Province Karate Clubs Tournament

The 2024 Hai Duong Province Karate Club Tournament has more than 200 athletes from 11 karate clubs in the province competing.

On November 2, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened the 2024 Hai Duong Provincial Karate Club Tournament at the Provincial Sports Gymnasium. The tournament attracted more than 200 athletes from 11 clubs, a decrease of 6 clubs compared to 2023.

At this year's tournament, athletes are divided into 4 age groups: 9-11 years old; 12-14 years old; 15-17 years old and over 18 years old. Athletes compete in 2 main categories: kata (form) and kumite (combat).

This year's tournament has more than 200 martial artists competing.

The tournament was organized to respond to the Campaign "All people practice physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho"; to encourage and promote the karate training and competition movement, contributing to improving health, physical development, and comprehensive education for youth and students in the province.

In addition, the tournament is also a place for clubs to enhance exchanges, learn experiences, and contribute to building a healthy cultural lifestyle among teenagers and students at all levels.

The 2024 Hai Duong Provincial Karate Club Championship will be held over 2 days (November 2 and 3).
