The 'huge' numbers that made 'Wild Robot' - the animated film considered the screen masterpiece of the year, stunned viewers.
As a global animated film project that will explode at the end of 2024,Wild Robot(The Wild Robot) was created with great effort, containing the passion of DreamWorks and director Chris Sanders. To create a beautiful and meaningful film about the robot mother Roz and the goose Brightbill, the Wild Robot crew went through an incredibly detailed process, possessing figures that made everyone amazed.
Most notably, the migration scene, the team of artists had to painstakingly draw 102,838,147 feathers for the bird characters in the film to create an emotional migration scene. Every scene down to the smallest detail in the entire film was meticulously created by the crew.
To be able to sketch and create the magical natural world inWild Robot, the film crew produced 269 drawings, created by a team of 15 artists. On average, it took the team about a week to create each drawing. Some scenes only required one or a few images, but the "journey" scene (when the flock of geese led by Longneck leaves the island and flies towards the domed city) used 32 drawings, created by six artists.
Including the group of artists and crew ofWild Robotwildincluding 18 different departments such as: script, editing, image development, rough editing, 3D editing, character skeleton creation, image development to lighting, sound and soundtrack. All teams participate in the production of 31 large and small scenes that make upWild RobotEach scene represents an important moment or action scene in the story.
The process of creating a biological system inWild Robotwas done with great care. The team of artists did thorough research and created 47 species of animals for the film, including 997 raccoons and 80,000 butterflies (mostly for the scene where Roz touches the tree trunk and creates a beautiful butterfly effect).
Most notably, the team of artists designed 102,838,147 feathers for the bird characters in the film, including Brightbill and his eventual flock. There were 28,701 geese of the same species participating in the great migration, including the gosling Brightbill and the leader Longneck.
The film also features four different versions of the goose, including a male goose with a tuft (3,443 feathers), a male goose without a tuft (3,379 feathers), a female goose with a tuft (3,377 feathers), and a female goose without a tuft (3,310 feathers).
During 3 years, the crewWild Robotconducted 66 recording sessions with the actors to capture all the dialogue for the film. This process took place in 7 cities across 3 countries including Glendale, Toronto, Santa Monica, Vancouver, London, Ojai and New York.
