Meritorious Artist Co Huy Hung - Head of Traditional Music Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music informed about the working session with musician Ho Hoai Anh.
According to information from the Board of Directors of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, this morning (August 16), musician Ho Hoai Anh was present at the Academy to explain recent events.

Meritorious Artist Co Huy Hung - Head of the Traditional Music Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music said: "This morning, musician Ho Hoai Anh texted me, asking to work first with the Board of Directors, asking to postpone the schedule with the faculty and will work with the Board of Directors today. The school will handle it internally and in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Civil Servants. Currently, I cannot provide any further information. After reviewing and working with musician Ho Hoai Anh, the Board of Directors will have an official statement later."
Previously, Mr. Le Anh Tuan, Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, requested the Traditional Music Department - directly managing Ho Hoai Anh - to contact and work with the musician after returning home. The Academy also requested the male musician to appear on August 15 for work. However, due to personal matters, Ho Hoai Anh asked the Board of Directors for permission to postpone the appointment to 10:00 a.m. this morning (August 16). Regarding the form of discipline, the Director of the Academy said that he would work with Ho Hoai Anh before giving a specific form.
On July 1, the Board of Directors of the Vietnam National Academy of Music held an urgent meeting to handle the violation of regulations by lecturer of the Traditional Musical Instruments Department, Ho Hoai Anh, and sent the minutes to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST). The entire Board of Directors unanimously proposed to the MOCST the handling of lecturer - musician Ho Hoai Anh, which is to temporarily suspend him from work pending the conclusion of the official investigation.
In addition to this proposal, the Vietnam National Academy of Music is also considering disciplinary action, including emulation exemption... for Ho Hoai Anh's violation of going abroad without reporting or asking permission from the organization according to the Law on Civil Servants. In case Ho Hoai Anh commits a crime as accused, the school's disciplinary council will coordinate with the Department of Organization and Personnel (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) to consider and impose strict disciplinary action.
