November 14, 2023 19:43

Miss Thuy Tien said this was an organized plan to defame her reputation before the appeal hearing with bad intentions.

On the afternoon of November 14, the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City rejected the plaintiff's appeal and upheld the first instance judgment, effective immediately, meaning that Thuy Tien officially won the lawsuit over the dispute over a property loan contract and compensation for damages outside the contract between Ms. Dang Thuy Trang (36 years old) and Miss Grand International 2021 Thuy Tien (25 years old).

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Court has confirmed that the judgment of the first instance is completely appropriate and in compliance with the law, thereby rejecting Ms. Trang's appeal. The Trial Panel (TP) has examined the evidence and documents and the confrontation at the trial and concluded that the judgment of the first instance does not need to be adjusted.

On her fanpage, Miss Thuy Tien officially informed about the results of the appeal hearing and spoke out more about her involvement in prostitution rumors.

Accordingly, she said that recently there have been rumors and suspicions related to Thuy Tien in a prostitution ring, but the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security has confirmed that Thuy Tien is not related to this case. The information posted used images from 4 years ago to create suspicion about Thuy Tien, which has been under investigation since early 2023.

"Drawing up cases that have been investigated by the Ministry of Public Security and where it is clear that Thuy Tien is not involved is an act of deliberately misleading public opinion," she emphasized.

She added that the issue of cyberbullying and cyber behavior is being closely monitored by the government. Thuy Tien and her management company are working with the Department of Information and Communications to address the issue on social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok and Youtube. She hopes that audiences will choose information from official sources.

Thuy Tien believes this is a plan to defame her honor and has decided not to protest in recent days to avoid making the case bigger.

Previously, in May 2023, the People's Court of Go Vap District (Ho Chi Minh City) rejected Ms. Trang's lawsuit request, related to the request for Thuy Tien to repay the loan of 1.5 billion VND. Ms. Trang did not agree with the first instance judgment and appealed the entire decision.

According to Ms. Trang's lawsuit, in June 2017, through some people, Thuy Tien knew that Ms. Trang was a show organizer and asked to borrow 1.5 billion VND to cover the cost of participating in the Southern Beauty Pageant. She pledged to use her winning salary to pay off the debt and let Ms. Trang be her manager, receiving a percentage of the show.

According to the lawsuit, in April 2019, Thuy Tien made an appointment with Ms. Trang in Binh Thanh District (Ho Chi Minh City) to pay the money, on the condition that she would provide the original debt receipt. However, after meeting, Thuy Tien tore up the debt receipt.

Therefore, Ms. Trang filed a lawsuit, asking the court to force Miss Thuy Tien to pay 1.5 billion VND and force Thuy Tien to correct the information and publish a public apology on three newspaper pages. Initially, Ms. Trang demanded more than 2.4 billion VND, including 1.5 billion VND in debt and 932 million VND in compensation. However, Ms. Trang later withdrew her request for compensation of 932 million VND.
