Abundant goods, prices increase slightly

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, purchasing power in the Hai Duong market, especially in urban areas and densely populated areas, increased sharply before and during Tet due to the circulation and storage of goods between wholesale enterprises and the people's consumption needs. People's demand focuses mainly on food, fresh food, processed food (cakes, jams, candies, beer, soft drinks, etc.), clothing, footwear, fuel (gasoline, etc.) and some agricultural products such as vegetables, tubers, and fruits.

Although purchasing power has increased sharply, the network of markets, supermarkets, shopping malls, petrol stations and grocery stores has met the needs of consumers. The prices of goods have not fluctuated much, some items have increased slightly compared to normal days. According to a survey by Hai Duong Newspaper reporters before, during and after Tet, at some traditional markets such as Ngoc Hoa market, Vinh Hoa commune (Ninh Giang), Tuan Viet market (Kim Thanh), Dong Ngo Quyen market (Hai Duong city), pork belly and pork belly are priced from 110,000-130,000 VND/kg; lean shoulder meat is from 120,000-150,000 VND/kg; beef tenderloin is 320,000-330,000 VND/kg, equivalent to normal days. Green vegetables are also consumed strongly, cabbage from 7,000-15,000 VND/piece, kohlrabi 5,000-12,000 VND/root, mustard greens from 3,000-7,000 VND/bunch, cauliflower from 5,000-12,000 VND/piece, Malabar spinach 3,000-7,000 VND/bunch... increased from 1,000-3,000 VND depending on the type.
