More than 60 large-displacement motorbikes, Honda 67s... of several clubs participated in a parade on many streets in Hai Duong City to promote and mobilize people to participate in voluntary blood donation.
On the afternoon of July 18, the Hai Duong Provincial Red Cross Society organized a mobile propaganda parade in Hai Duong City to celebrate the 12th "Hai Duong Thousand Red Hearts" Blood Donation Festival in 2024.
From the headquarters of the Provincial Red Cross Society (Phan Boi Chau Street, Hai Duong City), more than 60 large-displacement motorcycles, Honda 67s... of members of the clubs: Hai Duong Large-Displacement Motorcycles, Wyn Motor Hai Duong, Hai Duong - 67, Hai Duong Voluntary Blood Donation Youth Club moved through many streets in Hai Duong City such as: Nguyen Luong Bang, Truong Chinh, Le Thanh Nghi, Pham Ngu Lao, Ton Duc Thang... and ended at the Xu Dong Cultural Center.
The provincial Red Cross Society also mobilized a number of cars and motorbikes carrying portable speakers to follow the procession to propagate the purpose and meaning and encourage people from all walks of life to actively participate in the 12th "Hai Duong Thousand Red Hearts" Blood Donation Festival. The traffic police force of Hai Duong City Police supported traffic regulation on the routes the procession passed through.
This year's "Hai Duong Thousand Red Hearts" blood donation festival takes place over two days, July 19 and 20, at the Xu Dong Cultural Center (Hai Duong City). The festival strives to mobilize at least 3,100 people to register to donate blood, collecting 2,500 units of blood or more.
On the morning of July 19, also at the Dong Xu Cultural Center, the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation will hold a ceremony to honor outstanding blood donation groups, families, and individuals in the 2022-2024 period.
Since 2013, the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation has initiated and maintained the "Red Journey" campaign in provinces and cities across the country. The purpose of the campaign is to mobilize people from all walks of life to participate in voluntary blood donation, overcoming the blood shortage that occurs during the summer. This is the 8th time the "Hai Duong - Thousands of Red Hearts" Blood Donation Festival has been organized in response to this campaign.
