On November 10, the Israeli army and the country's internal security agency Shin Bet announced that Muhammad Abu Sakhil, the commander of operations for the armed group Islamic Jihad, was killed in an airstrike on the Gaza Strip.

The man was targeted by the Israeli Air Force in a "precision strike" on November 9, the joint statement said.

"Abu Sakhil operated from a secret command and control center in a complex that was formerly the Fahd Al-Sabah School in northern Gaza," the statement said.

Israeli security forces described Abu Sakhil as "a key figure" in the Islamic Jihad organization, responsible for planning and coordinating attacks, including joint operations with Hamas against the Israeli army in Gaza.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, often referred to simply as Islamic Jihad, is an armed group primarily operating in the Gaza Strip. Founded in 1981, it is the second largest armed group in Gaza after Hamas.

On the same day, Lebanon's Naharnet news portal reported that Ali Mousa Dakduk, a senior commander of Hezbollah, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Sayyidah Zaynab neighborhood in the Syrian capital Damascus.

According to Naharnet, Ali Mousa Dakduk was in charge of Hezbollah's operations against Israel in Syria. He coordinated actions with Shiite armed groups of the Islamic Resistance movement in Iraq and directed artillery attacks on the Golan Heights.

A source in the Syrian Defense Ministry earlier told SANA news agency that Israel had attacked the southeastern suburbs of Damascus with missiles launched from the occupied Golan Heights.

Seven civilians were reportedly killed and 20 others injured. Sham FM radio later said the death toll had risen to nine.

Meanwhile, Al Hadath TV channel reported that three Hezbollah members hiding in the targeted house were killed.
