Hai Duong identifies 2024 as the year of BigData and AI

The report at the conference said that in 2023, the Hai Duong information and communication sector achieved many outstanding results. In which, advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue a set of indicators to assess digital transformation of departments, branches, sectors, and district-level People's Committees; Plan to implement the Digital Economy and Digital Society Strategy until 2025, with a vision to 2030. Advising on the issuance of a Resolution on the List of public career services using the state budget in the field of information and communication in the province; Decision on promulgating the Regulation on management of foreign information activities; economic and technical norms for the production of radio and television programs; economic and technical norms for print and electronic newspaper activities in Hai Duong province. Hai Duong ranked 13th out of 63 provinces and cities in digital transformation rankings as of June 2023, up 1 place compared to 2021. Hai Duong is also one of 9 provinces and cities achieving level A in Online Public Service Portal, ranking 4th out of 63 provinces and cities.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Quang Phuc, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, emphasized that in 2024, the Hai Duong Information and Communications sector needs to continue advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue plans and tasks for digital transformation; advise and guide the development of digital transformation products for departments, branches, agencies, and units in the province. Focus on building databases, coordinating with central ministries and branches to build vertical industry ecosystems to connect and share data on land, taxes, insurance, etc.

Press agencies in the province continue to promote their role in monitoring and criticizing information and propaganda; invest in equipment, transform models and methods of operation to effectively implement the digital transformation strategy of the press by 2025, with a vision to 2030 in Hai Duong province.

In 2024, the Hai Duong information and communication industry has identified it as the year of BigData and AI, focusing on digital transformation breakthroughs in a number of areas. First of all, strengthen propaganda and raise awareness of digital transformation. Complete telecommunications-information technology infrastructure for digital transformation including: provincial data center infrastructure, infrastructure in agencies and units; infrastructure serving people. Focus on building and enriching the province's shared and specialized data warehouse, building an open data warehouse.

Deploying and putting into use a number of shared applications such as the Paperless Meeting app in the whole province; launching the Smart-Hai Duong app to serve the people; officially launching the 3-level Electronic Information Portal synchronized from the province to the commune. Applying AI, BigData to deploy virtual assistants to support state agencies, organizations and individuals; coordinating with Google to deploy AI and Cloud tools to support people to search and return results in their mother tongue on the Foreign Affairs Portal.
