Social insurance agency temporarily pays pensions and social insurance benefits for July 2023 at the June 2023 level.

The additional difference of July and August will be paid back to beneficiaries in September 2023.

Hai Duong Provincial Social Insurance has informed about the adjustment of pensions and social insurance benefits according to Decree No. 42/2023/ND-CP. Accordingly, Decree No. 42/2023/ND-CP on adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly benefits, effective from August 14, the provisions in this document are implemented from July 1.

Specifically, from July 1, 2023, an additional 12.5% ​​increase will be made to the pension, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances of June 2023 for the subjects regulated under Decree No. 108/2021/ND-CP on adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances (pensioners and monthly social insurance benefits recipients before January 1, 2022).

Also from the above time, an additional 20.8% increase will be made to the pension, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances of June 2023 for subjects that have not been adjusted according to Decree No. 108/2021/ND-CP adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances (pensioners and monthly social insurance benefits recipients from January 1, 2022 to before July 1, 2023).

Those who receive monthly pensions and social insurance benefits according to regulations, after adjustment, have a benefit level lower than 3 million VND/month, will be adjusted to increase as follows: increase 300,000 VND/person/month for those with a benefit level below 2.7 million VND/person/month; increase to 3 million VND/person/month for those with a benefit level from 2.7 million VND/person/month to less than 3 million VND/person/month.

In order to promptly pay pensions and social insurance benefits for July and August to beneficiaries, the social insurance agency will temporarily make payments according to the June 2023 benefit level.

In the payment period of September 2023, the beneficiary will be paid the new benefit level by the social insurance agency and will be paid the additional difference of July and August 2023.

For those who have decided to receive pension and social insurance benefits from July 1, 2023, the basic salary of 1.8 million VND has been calculated according to Decree 24/2023/ND-CP.

According to Decree No. 42/2023/ND-CP, the groups that are entitled to increased pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances include: cadres, civil servants, workers, public employees, and laborers; soldiers, police officers, and people working in key positions who are receiving monthly pensions; commune, ward, and town cadres; people receiving monthly allowances for loss of working capacity; and rubber workers receiving allowances according to the decision of the Government Council in 1979.
