Hai Duong strives to collect at least 25,900 units of blood in 2024

In 2024, Hai Duong strives to mobilize and collect at least 25,900 units of blood, ensuring sufficient blood supply for emergency care and treatment of patients at medical facilities in the province and support upper-level hospitals; mobilize at least 6,000 people to register to donate blood when required.

This is the goal set in the plan for assigning targets for mobilizing and receiving voluntary blood donations in 2024 issued by the People's Committee of Hai Duong province.

To achieve the above goals, the Provincial People's Committee requested agencies, units and localities to strengthen propaganda activities on mass media and social networks; mobilize and combine major communication campaigns such as "Red Sunday", voluntary blood donation campaign on Tet holiday and Spring Festival, "Red Summer Blood Drops", "National Voluntary Blood Donation Day April 7", "Red Journey" Program in 2024...

Mobilize business owners and employers, especially large enterprises, to mobilize workers and employees to actively participate in voluntary blood donation. Honor and reward groups, families and individuals with outstanding achievements in voluntary blood donation...

In 2023, the whole province collected 24,023 units of blood, exceeding the plan by 26.4%.
