The Central Relief Mobilization Committee will allocate an additional VND20 billion from the Central Relief Fund to Hai Duong province. This is the third allocation to the province to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3 (Yagi). The total of all three allocations is VND40 billion.
Previously, to respond to storm No. 3, Hai Duong mobilized the entire political system, armed forces and people to prepare prevention plans. However, due to the strong storm, heavy rain and floods after the storm, lasting long and far beyond the resilience of the disaster prevention infrastructure in the province, it caused great damage to the property and infrastructure of the people and the State. The estimated damage caused by storm No. 3 and floods after the storm in Hai Duong province is about 3,489 billion VND.
In order to promptly support people and businesses to restore production and business, Hai Duong province has directed departments, branches, sectors and local authorities to implement many measures to recover after the storm. Hai Duong has spent more than 600 billion VND from many sources such as: state budget, local financial reserve fund, natural disaster prevention fund and voluntary contributions to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3.
