Ingredients (serves 3 - 4 people)
- 1 good grapefruit (green-skinned grapefruit is less watery, but many people like to use dried shrimp with red-fleshed grapefruit because it is sweeter and tastier).
- 1/2 bowl of dried shrimp (choose large shrimp, bright red, fragrant, not too hard).
- Minced shallots, minced garlic, lemon juice, chili, basil.
- Cooking oil, fish sauce, sugar

How to make grapefruit salad with dried shrimp
Peel and core the grapefruit, remove the segments, and separate the segments into bite-sized pieces (the size of the grapefruit segments should be similar to that of dried shrimp).
Soak dried shrimp in warm water for 15 - 20 minutes to soften, then remove dirt from the back, wash and drain (you can crush the shrimp a bit to make it easier to absorb the spices).
Make the sauce
- Take 2 teaspoons of lemon juice (if the grapefruit is sour, take less)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce.
Put everything in a bowl and stir until the sugar dissolves.
Stir-fried dried shrimp
- Heat 1 teaspoon of cooking oil over heat.
- Pour dried shrimp into the pan and stir.
Add 1 teaspoon minced onion.
1 teaspoon minced garlic.
1 teaspoon fish sauce
All islands are within 2 minutes then removed from heat.
Mix salad
Put dried shrimp and grapefruit in a bowl. When about to eat, when pouring the sauce over, sprinkle chopped basil on top for flavor.
Pour the dried shrimp pomelo salad onto a plate, sprinkle with fried onions, roasted peanuts, and a few slices of red chili for decoration.
