Professor Ngo Bao Chau and leading experts will attend the Conference to update knowledge on Fintech, AI, Blockchain and Cloud for managers and policy makers in Hai Duong.

According to a press release from the Department of Information and Communications of Hai Duong, on August 18, at the Xu Dong Cultural Center (Hai Duong City), a conference will be held to update knowledge on Fintech, AI, Blockchain and Cloud for managers and policy makers, organized by the Department of Information and Communications in coordination with the Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics.
The conference was attended by about 600 guests from inside and outside the province. Notably, there were leading experts such as Professor Ngo Bao Chau, Scientific Director of the Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics, Professor at the University of Chicago (USA); Professor Duc (David)Tran, Director of the “Connected Computing” Lab at the University of Massachusetts, USA; Associate Professor Nguyen Viet Anh, Institute of Information Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; Mr. Nguyen Duc Toan, Country Director of Google Cloud Vietnam and Mr. Hoang Nguyen Van, Deputy Director of the Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SAVIS GROUP.
Leading experts will introduce Fintech (financial technology), AI (artificial intelligence), Blockchain (blockchain technology), Cloud (cloud computing), emphasizing aspects of impact and application to socio-economics, management, planning, human resource development; providing useful knowledge to promote digital transformation, suitable for management leaders, administrative staff, information technology specialists, science - technology and economics, finance as well as lecturers, young researchers, students, postgraduates in information technology, economics, business, finance and engineering. At the same time, delegates will also participate in sharing and discussing with experts on the application of these new technologies in Vietnam and in Hai Duong province.
In parallel, in the large hall on the first floor of the Eastern Cultural Center, there will be exhibitions and displays introducing digital transformation solutions and products applying Fintech, AI, Blockchain and Cloud technologies at 6 booths of leading telecommunications enterprises: VNPT Group, Viettel Group, FPT Group, Mobifone Corporation, Savis Company, NGS Company.

The conference updates knowledge about Fintech, AI, Blockchain and Cloud for managers and policy makers to raise digital awareness for leaders, managers and the community. At the same time, through the program content, it aims to communicate to departments, branches, sectors, and businesses inside and outside the province about Hai Duong province's digital transformation, focusing on identifying a key task of developing platforms for digital transformation, prioritizing research on some core technologies that can be a shortcut and have the ability to make strong breakthroughs such as Fintech, AI, Blockchain, Cloud... to create new business models, new products and services of high value. These are superior solutions that bring practical efficiency to the government, people and businesses when applying new technology to the production, operation and service provision processes, aiming at economic, cultural and social development associated with the strengths and potentials of the locality.
On this occasion, the Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics - the permanent unit coordinating the National Key Program for Mathematics Development and the Department of Information and Communications of Hai Duong - the permanent agency of the Provincial Information Technology Steering Committee will organize the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation on digital transformation for the period 2023-2025.
The event will be livestreamed on Hai Duong Newspaper fanpage and promoted on the newspaper's publications.
Professor Ngo Bao Chau (born 1972 in Hanoi), Professor at the University of Chicago (USA), and in Vietnam he has held the position of Scientific Director of the Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics from 2011 to present. He studied at the University of Paris 6 (now the Sorbonne University) and the École Normale Supérieure Paris (ENS Paris), and did his master's and doctoral studies at the University of Paris XI (Université Paris-Sud 11) under the guidance of Professor Gérard Laumon. Professor Ngo Bao Chau defended his doctoral thesis in 1997, then became a researcher at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) from 1998, received his Habilitation and Diriger les Recherches (HDR) degrees in 2003 and was appointed Professor at the University of Paris 11 in 2004. In 2005, at the age of 33, he was specially awarded the title of Professor by the Vietnamese State. At the end of 2009, his work "Fundamental Lemma for Lie Algebras" was voted by Time Magazine as one of the 10 most outstanding scientific discoveries of 2009. With the scientific works proving the above "Fundamental Lemma for Lie Algebras", on August 19, 2010, Professor Ngo Bao Chau was awarded the Fields Medal, considered the Nobel Prize in Mathematics.
