Gasoline prices continue to decrease, E5 RON92 down to 19,692 VND per liter

Specifically, from 3:00 p.m. today, October 24, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by 38 VND/liter, to 19,692 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 68 VND/liter, the new price is 20,894 VND/liter; diesel decreased by 264 VND/liter, to 18,057 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 57 VND, the new price is 18,570 VND/liter.

However, during this management period, the price of fuel oil continued to increase by 139 VND, reaching 16,229 VND/kg. In addition, the joint ministries did not set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.

A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said that as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the price stabilization fund at the enterprise was 3,080 billion VND.

Most recently (October 17), the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by 116 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 99 VND/liter; diesel oil decreased by 179 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 163 VND/liter, but fuel oil increased by 179 VND/kg.

The operator said fuel prices fluctuated last week due to increased conflict in the Middle East and increased US crude oil reserves. These factors caused gasoline prices to rise and fall depending on the product.

On average, over the past 7 days, finished gasoline prices decreased by about 1.6-1.7%, while oil prices decreased by 1.7-3%. Fuel oil continued to increase by 0.3%. Accordingly, the price of each barrel of RON 95 gasoline and diesel oil both decreased to 85.9 USD, while fuel oil was at 460 USD per ton.
