Domestic gasoline prices have also decreased sharply in today's operating period.
According to the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, from 3:00 p.m. today, August 8, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by VND901/liter, to VND20,715/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by VND930/liter, the new price is VND21,673/liter; diesel decreased by VND737/liter, to VND19,141/liter; kerosene decreased by VND684 to VND19,411/liter, and fuel oil decreased by VND858, to VND16,028/kg.
During this management period, the joint ministries continued not to set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.
A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said that as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the Price Stabilization Fund at the enterprise was 3,079 billion VND, an increase of 1 billion VND compared to the recent announcement.
This is the fifth consecutive reduction in domestic gasoline prices. Most recently (August 1), E5 RON92 gasoline prices decreased by VND284/liter, RON95-III gasoline decreased by VND281/liter, diesel oil decreased by VND316/liter, kerosene decreased by VND231/liter, and fuel oil decreased by VND292/kg.
