Informing reporters of Hai Duong Newspaper, Mr. Duong The Cuong (born in 1969) in Bui village, My Ha commune, Lang Giang district (Bac Giang) expressed his concern when his son, Duong The Quang (born in 1996), had been out of contact for many days.

Mr. Quang is Mr. Cuong's eldest son, who used to be in the army and worked in Japan. Recently, Mr. Quang moved to Hanoi to live with his father to learn auto repair and work at a packaging company. The father and son rented a room in Thach Ban, Long Bien district (Hanoi).

At around 6pm on January 15 (December 16), when Mr. Cuong returned to his rented room from work, Quang had finished packing his things and said he was going to Hai Duong to work on phones and electronics. Mr. Cuong tried to stop him from leaving tomorrow morning, but Quang said that there was a man in Hai Duong who told him to come back right away to be on time for work the next morning.

At that time, Mr. Quang was riding an old white motorbike worth 12 million VND. His family only remembered the last 5 numbers of the license plate, which were 96,412. That evening, Mr. Quang texted his father via Messenger that he had arrived in Hai Duong, but did not give a specific address.

According to Ms. Chu Thu Ha, Mr. Quang's mother, from January 15 to about January 21, she was still able to contact her son via Messenger occasionally, but Mr. Quang did not say specifically what he was doing or where he was. Ms. Ha warned her son to be careful not to be tricked into going abroad as the media had reported, but Mr. Quang said to stay home and rest assured.

Mr. Cuong confirmed that before that, Mr. Quang had nothing unusual, he still went to work every day and stayed with his father very regularly. Mr. Quang did not smoke, did not gamble, and did not drink alcohol. During the 6 years he worked abroad, Mr. Quang regularly sent money home to his mother, and he also brought home the allowance after completing his military service.

Ms. Chu Thu Ha added that the incident had been reported to My Ha Commune Police, Lang Giang District Police and Bac Giang Provincial Police. The family is currently very worried because their son has never done this before.

Through Hai Duong Newspaper, her family hopes that if people see Mr. Duong The Quang, please notify the nearest police station, or call Mr. Cuong (037581969) and Ms. Ha (0348780704).
