Stop receiving support for people affected by storm No. 3 from December 10

The Hai Duong Province Relief Mobilization Committee will stop receiving support from agencies, organizations and individuals to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3 from December 10.

Hai Duong Province Relief Fund has received over 77 billion VND in donations from agencies, units, businesses, organizations and individuals.

According to the announcement of the Hai Duong Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee, the time to mobilize and receive support for people affected by storm No. 3 is from September 15 to December 9. After 24 hours on December 9, the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee will stop receiving support from agencies, organizations and individuals.

Since September 15, the Hai Duong Provincial Relief Fund has received over 77 billion VND in support from agencies, units, businesses, organizations and individuals. Of which, the fund has allocated 2 batches with a total amount of nearly 40 billion VND to districts, towns and cities to promptly support people who suffered heavy losses due to storm No. 3.

Previously, in September, storm No. 3 directly affected areas in the province. Although Hai Duong province mobilized the entire political system, armed forces, and people to prepare prevention and response plans, the storm was too strong, causing great damage to property, infrastructure, etc. The estimated damage caused by storm No. 3 and the floods after the storm in Hai Duong province was about 3,489 billion VND.

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, with the consent of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Hai Duong Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has called on agencies, organizations, units, enterprises, philanthropists, religious organizations, socio-political organizations, social organizations, cadres and soldiers in the armed forces, cadres, civil servants, workers and people of all walks of life to promote the tradition of national solidarity with the spirit of "mutual love and affection" to turn difficulties into strength, through concrete actions, join hands to share, support, and encourage materially and spiritually to help the people of Hai Duong province quickly overcome damage, restore production and business, and soon stabilize their lives.

On September 13, at the Eastern Cultural Center (Hai Duong City), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Duong province launched a campaign to support people to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3. Activities to support and assist people affected by storms and floods have been jointly carried out by many agencies, organizations, and individuals.
