Don't let your child miss school on Saturdays or Sundays.

In the evening, as usual, after dinner, Ms. Van went over to invite Ms. Hong to go for a walk.

You know, if the children have a day off, I won't be home to take care of them, so tonight the parents in the class discussed finding teachers to tutor the children.

- Oh, Long's school already lets students take Saturdays off. I've heard that some provinces and cities have applied the program for middle and high school students to take Saturdays and Sundays off, but I didn't expect that in our province, there is a school that has already implemented this program. So have you discussed letting the students take extra classes in the morning or afternoon?

- Morning or afternoon? We plan to let the kids study all day on Saturday, some kids even study at the center in the evening.

- The school gives students Saturday off so they have time to participate in talent clubs and extracurricular activities, and some weak students can participate in extra tutoring. But now that school is off and parents are looking for extra classes for their children from morning to night, it's like giving them no time off.

- But if the children take one more day off, they will be left behind by their active classmates, so that's not okay.

- I don't know if there are any benefits to studying more, but the other day I saw on the internet a woman posted a camera photo of her high school son returning home tired and listless at 11pm after his regular classes and extra classes. Seeing the boy throw his bag away and sit there absent-mindedly, the mother suddenly realized how much her son had to endure. Who knows, forcing her son to study too much could lead to a lack of life skills, even affecting his mental health and well-being.

Hearing that, Ms. Hong paused to think for a moment then sighed and said:

- What you said makes sense. Let's see how things go. I will discuss with the parents to reduce the amount of extra classes for the children, so that the children can choose the subjects that suit their talents.

After saying that, Ms. Hong opened the gate and the two happily walked together.
