Dialogue, verification and resolution of petitions about martyrs in Gia Loc town

Comrade Luu Van Ban, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the dialogue. Also attending were leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors of the province and Gia Loc district.

At the dialogue, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Military Command, and leaders of Gia Loc district discussed with Mr. Tran Quoc Tha in Gia Loc town and related parties to clarify records, information, and documents related to the two martyrs currently named Duong Van Ngo in Phuong Hung commune (now Gia Loc town); the posthumous awarding of the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother to Ms. Nguyen Thi Dam in Gia Loc town.

Based on the records and documents of the Policy Department, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the records and documents currently stored at the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Hai Duong province and the opinions at the dialogue, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Luu Van Ban requested that people in the province who have documents and information proving that Mr. Duong Van Ngo (young) participated in revolutionary activities should send them to the Gia Loc Town People's Committee, Gia Loc District People's Committee and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs within 30 days, from December 28, 2023 for receipt and reporting to competent authorities for consideration and resolution.In the case of Mr. Duong Van Ngo (young) who was born, grew up, and had his life associated with participating in revolutionary activities and joining the army (if any), people should send information to the authorities for consideration and resolution to ensure objectivity and fairness.

Previously, on December 11, comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, received citizens periodically in December. At this meeting, Mr. Tran Quoc Tha, in Gia Loc town, requested clarification on the establishment of records and information of martyrs named Duong Van Ngo in Phuong Hung commune (now Gia Loc town); the posthumous awarding of the state honorary title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother to Ms. Nguyen Thi Dam, in Gia Loc town.
