The organization of palanquin processions by communes in the vicinity of Hung Temple on the occasion of the annual Hung King's death anniversary aims to recreate the cultural and religious activities of the residents of the land associated with the Ancestor Worship.
Within the framework of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary - Hung Temple Festival 2023, at exactly 7:30 a.m. on April 26 (ie the 7th day of the 3rd lunar month), the palanquin procession from the communal houses and temples of 7 communes and towns on the outskirts of the relic site including: Chu Hoa, Hung Lo, Kim Duc, Hy Cuong communes and Van Phu ward (Viet Tri city), Tien Kien and Hung Son communes (Lam Thao district) officially took place at the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, Viet Tri city (Phu Tho).

This is one of the traditional rituals included in the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day - Hung Temple Festival program every year and has been maintained and preserved for a long time, thereby honoring the value of Hung Kings' worship in Phu Tho which has been recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The palanquin procession to Hung Temple also demonstrates the morality of drinking water, remembering the source and respect for our ancestors, while also demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and national community.
