Director of "Heroic Blood" creates opportunities for young filmmakers

This is a program in collaboration between Netflix and the film education project.Practical filmmakingof Chanh Phuong Film Studio co-founded by director Charlie Nguyen.

After learning that Netflix owns a creative fund that provides a playground for more than 700 filmmakers in the Asia-Pacific region, director Charlie Nguyen sent a proposal for cooperation, hoping to create opportunities for passionate young people to easily access and learn professional filmmaking techniques.

The program is aimed at young people aged 18-25 who want to become producers, directors, and screenwriters of a mini-series and have never made commercial television or film work.

After the application round, selected projects will participate in a series of intensive film production training workshops, and have the opportunity to introduce their projects to big names in the Vietnamese film industry. The filmmaking team with the best project will receive full funding for the film, and will be directly advised by director Charlie Nguyen to produce it into a mini-series.

Director Charlie Nguyen hopes the program will maintain the passion for filmmaking among young people, given the current shortage of young filmmaking talent in Vietnamese cinema.
