The Department of Roads requires training facilities to receive applications and organize driver training in accordance with regulations.

Faced with the situation where many training facilities have temporarily stopped accepting applications, temporarily stopped testing, issuing and re-issuing driving licenses due to not being able to exploit DAT data (Driving Practice Time and Distance Monitoring Device), affecting the needs of people to study, test and issue driving licenses, on June 29, the leader of the Vietnam Road Administration said that due to the increased volume of DAT management data and the exploitation needs of units on the DAT information system software of the Vietnam Road Administration in the past time, it has caused difficulties in connecting, transmitting and exploiting DAT management data.

To overcome the above situation, the Vietnam Road Administration has urgently coordinated with technical support units to upgrade the information system infrastructure, management and exploitation software and put it into operation from June 26, 2023.

In addition, the Vietnam Road Administration requires car driving training facilities to organize the reception of driving registration documents and organize driving training in accordance with regulations to meet the driving training needs of the people. Coordinate with the equipment supplier to upgrade the management software to connect with the DAT information system software of the Vietnam Road Administration before July 1, 2023 according to the data transmission structure provided by the Department to the units.

The Departments of Transport organize the selection of units providing driving test services and materials for printing driving licenses according to regulations to organize testing, issue and change driving licenses to meet the needs of the people. At the same time, coordinate with training facilities to review and check all data of study sessions to approve valid study sessions and transmit data to the DAT information system of the Vietnam Road Administration so that the system can automatically synthesize DAT management data, serving the task of approving the list of students eligible to attend the examination of the Department of Transport.

The Vietnam Road Administration assigned the Department of Transport, Vehicle and Driver Management as the focal point, the Department of Science, Technology, Environment and International Cooperation to coordinate in guiding and resolving difficulties and problems of training facilities and the Department of Transport in the process of connecting, transmitting and exploiting DAT data.
