Ms. Luong Thi Ngoc, a member of the Trade Union of the Provincial Center for Rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation (under the Trade Union of the Hai Duong Agriculture and Rural Development Sector) has just been awarded by the Provincial Labor Federation for her outstanding achievements in creative labor.

Previously, to know the number of rural households using clean water, it was necessary to go through the centralized water supply unit, while many remote communes in Chi Linh city did not have centralized water supply, so determining the number of households using water had to be manually surveyed, which was time-consuming and labor-intensive. Ms. Ngoc had the initiative to determine the percentage of rural households using clean water by synthesizing information according to forms from the village to the commune and district on the software. Thereby, it is possible to count the number of rural households using clean water and update the water quality assessment (previously there was no or only manual work for many households). The initiative is being applied in 172 communes of 11 districts, cities and towns in the province, saving more than 8 billion VND/year for water testing and labor to count the number of rural households using clean water.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Duong, Chairman of the Trade Union of Nissei Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Cam Giang) is also one of many dynamic and creative trade union officials in labor and production. With the knowledge he learned at Hanoi University of Science and Technology and practical experience in Japan, Mr. Duong has designed precise, high-quality molds to produce stable products. With these molds, workers reduce processing time, increase accuracy, and reduce the rate of defective products compared to before. The initiative has benefited the business billions of dong. Before these precise molds, products were often defective and customers returned them, which was very costly for the business.

From Mr. Duong, the emulation movement of excellent workers and creative workers spread to other workers and laborers in the company. Since the beginning of the year, the company has had 13 initiatives and technical improvements to help reduce labor and save costs for the business.

In 2021, Hai Duong had 12,644 candidates with 11,374 initiatives participating in the program "75 thousand initiatives to overcome difficulties and develop", ranking first nationwide in terms of the number of initiatives and participants. The program "1 million initiatives to strive to overcome difficulties, be creative, and determined to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic" deployed from the beginning of the year to May 9 had 2,876 initiatives. The initiatives contributed to helping businesses and units overcome difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic, save time, human resources, increase labor productivity...

Mr. Mai Quoc Hung, Chairman of the Hai Duong Agriculture and Rural Development Trade Union, said that the trade union has actively promoted and mobilized union members to promote creativity to effectively implement the 1 million initiatives program. Any topic or initiative that is effective and well applied in practice will be promptly rewarded and commended by the industry and the trade union to encourage the competitive spirit of workers, civil servants and laborers. Each year, the trade union has 25-30 initiatives in the field.

At the end of April, the Provincial Federation of Labor launched the "40-day peak campaign" to mobilize more enthusiastic response and responsibility from union members and workers, striving to have 300,000 initiatives registered on the online software in the province by May 31.

The Provincial Federation of Labor requires the grassroots trade union to organize "Peak Week" and "Peak Month" to encourage union members and workers to promote initiatives, improve and update on the software system. Promote the dissemination of the purpose and meaning of the 1 million initiatives program to spread the spirit of emulation among workers and laborers. The head of the grassroots trade union directly above the grassroots focuses on directing, urging and inspecting the implementation of the program, associated with the responsibility of leading and advising on implementation. Include the program implementation targets in the emulation classification content of the grassroots trade union. In addition, trade unions at all levels will organize timely commendation and rewards for union members and workers with good quality initiatives.
