The number of cases related to credit and banking accounts for only a small part, but the amount of money accounts for the majority of the total number of judgments to be executed in Hai Duong.
On the afternoon of November 28, the Legal Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council worked with the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Department on the results of civil judgment enforcement work in 2024 and key tasks in 2025.
According to the report, from October 1, 2023 to the end of September 2024, the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department of Hai Duong province had 11,958 cases to be executed, of which 8,448 cases were completed, an increase of 390 cases (an increase of 4.83% compared to 2023).
Regarding money, the total amount to be enforced is more than VND 5,146 billion, a decrease of nearly VND 581 billion (37.39% compared to 2023).
The rate of settlement of cases and money exceeded the target assigned by the General Department of Civil Judgment Enforcement.
Last year, there were 105 successful enforcement cases, nearly double that of 2023 (an increase of 50 cases). However, enforcement of judgments in credit and banking-related cases still faces many obstacles.
The number of cases requiring enforcement of judgments related to credit and banking is 430 (an increase of 31 cases compared to 2023) and the total amount is more than 3,366 billion VND.
The number of cases related to credit and banking accounts for only 3.79% of the total number of cases to be executed but accounts for 64.31% of the total amount to be executed. Of these, only 21 cases have been completed with an amount of more than 320 billion VND.
At the meeting, Deputy Director of the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department of Hai Duong province Doan Dinh Chien pointed out many difficulties in enforcing judgments related to credit and banking because mainly students and workers borrow on credit.
Many cases of mortgaged land have legal documents with many defects, discrepancies, overlaps, and fluctuations between documents and current status.
Comrade Bui Hoc Anh, Head of the Legal Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council, assessed that the results of the execution of judgments in 2024 decreased in terms of amount of money, the execution rate of cases related to credit and banking was very low and there were still a number of long-standing cases that had not been completely resolved.
