Chinese expert: National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue's visit will promote bilateral relations orientations

Assessing the relationship between Vietnam and China in recent times, journalist Wei Wei - Head of the Vietnamese Service of China Central Radio and Television (CMG), an experienced expert on Vietnam - China relations, said that the two neighboring countries China and Vietnam have many similarities in their development paths. During the state visit of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam in December 2023, the two sides announced a new position in the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries with the "Joint Statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, building a community of shared future between Vietnam and China of strategic significance". According to journalist Wei Wei, after the successful visit of General Secretary Xi Jinping to Vietnam, the relationship between the two countries entered its best phase.

Journalist Wei Wei assessed that the new position of the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries of Vietnam and China is not only in line with the common interests of the two Parties, governments and peoples of the two countries, but also beneficial to peace and development of the region and the world. Today's world, especially in the recent past, the international and regional situation has changed complicatedly, instability has increased, and multi-faceted negative impacts have affected world politics and economy. In this context, the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China has been stable and developing overall, achieving many important, profound and comprehensive development results. Journalist Wei Wei quoted Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai speaking at the reception to celebrate the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations earlier this year, affirming that all these achievements were thanks to the attention and direction of the two countries' senior leaders, under the joint efforts of all levels, sectors and people of the two countries.

Commenting on the role and significance of the visit of Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to the relationship between the two countries, journalist Wei Wei said that the visit is of great significance to the implementation of orientations in bilateral relations. In recent times, senior leaders of Vietnam and China have maintained exchanges in various and flexible forms, conducted consecutive visits to each other, and exchanged in the fields of the Party, government, military, the National People's Congress and the National Assembly, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the Fatherland Front, etc.; cooperation between localities has been strongly restored, achieving many positive developments.
