The Prime Minister has just issued a document approving the People's Committee of Hai Duong province to decide to change the purpose of using 63.55 hectares of rice-growing land to non-agricultural land to implement the Toan Thang Industrial Cluster Infrastructure Investment and Business Project (Gia Loc) according to the appraisal of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
The Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Hai Duong province to inspect and review the current status of land use, ensure consistency in records and field conditions, and ensure the rice-growing land quota allocated by the Prime Minister. Localities must ensure economical and effective land use, avoid loss or waste; be responsible for inspecting and supervising the separation and use of topsoil, protecting irrigation infrastructure for water supply and drainage, drought prevention, and land improvement for agricultural production that has been invested in according to the law.
