After 4 sessions of adjustment, VN-Index regained its upward momentum but was only enough to surpass the 1,280 point mark thanks to the banking group and some pillar stocks.

The HoSE index opened in green but not too far from the reference. After 10am, new money flowed in stronger, helping the VN-Index reach nearly 1,291.5 points in just 20 minutes, up nearly 12 points from yesterday's close. The index remained around this mark until the end of the morning.

In the afternoon, the HoSE index gradually decreased in height when selling pressure appeared. At around 2:15 p.m., the market recorded a shake that pulled the index below the reference. However, the red color did not last long and quickly regained green.

VN-Index closed at 1,281.2 points, up about 1.36 points compared to yesterday. Stocks fell into a mixed state with 215 stocks falling and 211 stocks rising. However, the gap between the two groups was not much.

The banking group contributed greatly to today's recovery session. MBB achieved the highest liquidity in the market of nearly VND585 billion with an increase of 2.2%. In addition, codes such as VPB, CTG, BID, HDB and TPB also increased by more than 1%. Of the 10 stocks that contributed most positively to the VN-Index, 6 representatives came from the banking industry, including BID, MBB, VCB, CTG, VPB and HDB.

In addition, some pillar codes also supported the market to accumulate points. After a few correction sessions, FPT regained green when it increased by 1%. Stocks with large liquidity such as SSI, TCM, NLG also had quite positive developments.

Liquidity on the HoSE today improved by nearly VND2,200 billion to about VND16,400 billion. Foreign investors continued to net sell but the value dropped sharply to about VND235 billion, the lowest level in the past two weeks.

Stocks have been hovering around the 1,280 point mark for a long time. Vietcombank Securities (VCBS) recommends staying calm and maintaining a portfolio with stocks that are well-rated. At the same time, investors should keep the portfolio weight at 50-60% to prevent risks that may suddenly occur in the short term.
