Previously, on June 3, 2019, the Government issued a document agreeing in principle to allow the establishment of FLC University in Quang Ninh province.
According to the establishment project approved by the Prime Minister at that time, FLC University was built with an expected scale of about 50 hectares in Ha Lam and Ha Trung wards, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province. The total estimated investment capital was nearly 4,000 billion VND.
The school aims to achieve QS rating and ASEAN University Network (AUN) accreditation; AACSB ranking for business administration programs in the shortest time, helping students study in a systematic, international-class educational environment right in Ha Long without having to study abroad.
Since then, the appearance of this project has gradually changed the traditional concept of studying abroad and aims to attract students from other provinces and cities to Quang Ninh to "study abroad", including students from other countries coming to Vietnam.
Also according to the project, with 3 key majors: high technology, tourism and aviation, the school is expected to enroll its first season at the end of 2020. The initial enrollment scale is 600 students, increasing to 6,100 students in 2024 and 10,000 students in 2035.
